Getting Ready Essentials for Every BrideAugust 21, 2017 by The Marquardt Ranch
You spend months planning every detail of your wedding day, from flowers to songs to food. You want everything to be just right—and don’t worry, it will be! It’s easy to spend so much time planning the ceremony and reception details that you forget about one of the most important events…getting ready!
Use these getting ready essentials to make preparing for the biggest walk of your life stress-free and fun!
There are so many beautiful robes to choose from, from silky white to romantic florals. Robes are comfortable, and they also keep you from having to lift anything over your head, avoiding the risk of smudging your makeup or messing up your stunning hair.
Water, coffee, champagne, oh my!
Stay hydrated with plenty of water. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you have to skip the wedding-day Starbucks tradition. After all, you only have one chance to get “Bride” written on your cup! If coffee isn’t your thing, just be sure to have your favorite drink on hand. This is your day! And don’t forget to use straws if you already have lipstick on.
Best Day Ever Playlist
Make a playlist with some of your favorite love songs and dance songs. Some of our suggestions: “Best Day of My Life” by American Authors, “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, “I’m Only Me When I’m With You” by Taylor Swift, and “Going to the Chapel of Love” by The Dixie Cups.
This should go without saying, but you can’t get ready without the help of your girl gang. Sing together, dance together, cry together. And tell them it’s their job to not let you stress!
Pick a special perfume for your wedding day. After you’re married, wear it on special occasions to remind you of this wonderful day. (Bonus: Pick one that comes in a cute bottle so your photographer can take adorable “detail” pictures.)
There’s so much going on the hours before your wedding, but you can’t forget to eat. Have some of your favorite snacks on hand, such as crackers, fruit, muffins, chips, or anything else you love.
We said it before, but there’s a good chance a few tears will be shed during those sweet moments of getting ready with your girls. You’ll be happy you had these.
This may sound silly, but everyone is going to be taking pictures, and you really don’t want your phone to die. Having some extra chargers around is a great way to make sure you and your friends capture some special memories together.
This hack is a bride’s best friend. Use white chalk to cover up smudges or stains on your wedding dress.
Last-minute stains are unavoidable; keep this lifesaver around for your girls.
Gum or Mouthwash
Bad breath is the last thing you want before your first kiss as husband and wife. Listerine or minty gum will come in handy to freshen your breath and give you an extra boost of confidence for that kiss.
