Questions About the Marquardt Ranch

What river runs below the property?

Located in Boerne, Texas, The Marquardt Ranch offers a majestic view of the Guadalupe River. Surrounded by large cypress trees and the natural beauty of the Texas hill country, the river is the perfect spot for stunning photo opportunities.

Do I have the option to have my wedding inside or outside?

We have up to 250 traditional white resin folding chairs for outdoor ceremonies (setup and breakdown included). We also include the use of our wrought-iron arbor to be used at your ceremony site. We have up to 300 Chiavari mahogany banquet chairs that can be used for your indoor ceremony. One option for an indoor ceremony would be a “Change Over”. The Chiavari chairs would be set in rows for the ceremony then converted to the reception setting with tables and chairs immediately following the ceremony while your guests enjoy cocktails and appetizers on the patio.

What if it rains on the day of my wedding, and I was initially planning on an outdoor ceremony?

The Marquardt Ranch can still accommodate your wedding on the property!  A decision must be made approximately 3 hours before your ceremony start time as to if your wedding will be held inside. A stage large enough for the bride, groom, and officiant will be set under the cross window and a few rows of chairs will be set up front for your family to sit in during the ceremony. Your guests will sit at the round guest tables and will remain there during the reception as well. Once the ceremony is complete, the stage and rows of chairs will be removed and your reception can begin.

What items are included in the facility rental?

Up to 300 Chiavari mahogany banquet chairs – 7 6ft. tables for bar or buffet – Up to 31 60″ round tables (seats 10 per table) – 30 3ft. square cocktail tables – Polyester linen in any color for all indoor guest tables and 3 buffet tables – Setup and breakdown of all tables and chairs – Bride and groom suites – Cake and gift table – 4ft. sweetheart table – 3 votive candles and 1 vase for each table – Stage lighting – Pinspot lighting – Uplighting – Free and ample parking – Access to the building beginning at 10am the day of your wedding

Is there a place for my groom and I to get ready?

Yes, of course! There are Individual spaces for the bride’s party & groom’s party to dress & prep. These rooms come furnished with private bathrooms including showers, full length mirrors, vanities, couches, tvs with DVD players, and mini refrigerators. Foosball table in the grooms suite.

How long do I have to use the facility?

1 hour rehearsal (to be scheduled around other events) – 4 hours exclusive time for dress and prep – 5 hours of event time (starting when ceremony begins, or if no ceremony – when guests are scheduled to arrive) – Access to the building beginning at 10am the day of your wedding

How many guests can you seat?

We can seat 310 guests inside for a seated dinner and 240 guests inside for a buffet dinner. We can add additional seating outside on the lawn.

Do you offer in-house services?

Yes, we offer catering, floral, and a DJ.

Can I bring in my own alcohol?

Yes, you can bring in your on beer, wine and liquor. All must be served by a TABC certified bartender which can be provided for you by The Marquardt Ranch or you may bring in your own.

Can I get my linens through you?

Yes, a polyester linen in any color is included in the price of the venue for all of your indoor guest tables and 3 buffet tables. If you decided to upgrade your linen you only have to pay the difference. We haev 50 colors of polyester linens for you to choose from!

What is the deposit to reserve the facility for my wedding?

We require a 1/3 of the venue cost for the deposit and a signed contract to reserve date.

Is there a damage deposit?

You may pay the $500 damage deposit with a check or credit card, or we can hold a credit card on file.

Can I take my engagement and/or bridal portraits at The Marquardt Ranch?

Yes, we ask that you contact the office to schedule a day and time to do so.

What items can we use for our send-off?

We allow sparklers, bubbles, organic flower petals, wedding rice, and streamers on sticks. We do not allow rice due to our wildlife around the property, bird seed because it is a seed and it sprouts in the grass, or confetti because it ultimately is litter.
