Brunch WeddingsOctober 2, 2014 by Jennifer Speer
What are two of my favorite things? Well, I’m glad you asked! Weddings and brunch have been two of my most favorite events to attend for a while now, but it’s the new and trendy combination of those two that gets me so excited I almost want to plan another wedding…to the same man, of course! 🙂
Just think of all the possibilities: pancakes, waffles, flavored syrups, fresh fruit, quiche, dainty sandwiches and wraps, cheeses, homemade breads, and mimosas. You could do a yogurt bar, a chips and salsa bar, espresso bar, or even a cereal bar. Your layered wedding cake might be a coffee cake or a doughnut tower, or you could replace the cake altogether with cinnamon rolls and sweet pastries. The possibilities are endless!
And a wedding in the morning hours instead of a traditional afternoon or evening ceremony sounds absolutely heavenly! Just think of the gorgeous photos your photographer could capture at sunrise in the crisp morning air. And how nice would it be to have the entire afternoon and evening to spend with your family and friends? Or perhaps leave a little earlier for your honeymoon! Sure, a brunch wedding might mean starting your hair and makeup routine a bit earlier than normal, but my guess is you would be very glad you did. And while this is still a relatively new trend, it might even be easier to reserve a location during than at traditional peak hours.
